Shavuot at Midreshet

We have all been counting the days (literally) and anticipating for Shavous to arrive! Spending an amazing Shavous with Rav Eitan Mayer's and Rav Yitzchak Lerner's families was such a privilege. We all had the opportunity to hear 23 (!) girls present shiurim that they prepared based on their interests and what they are truly passionate about. We had topics from all areas; Tanach, Mussur, Jewish Philosophy and of course Shavous itself.  The Shiurim began at 10:30pm and ran until 3am followed by us walking to the Kotel. We started off walking with just Midreshet and slowly Jews from all directions joined together. It was a great experience being part of the crowd as it grew and came together all with the same purpose – to daven Vatikin at the kotel on Shavuos morning.

Sara Proops hosted Kiddush for us in the Old City after we all davened and before heading back to school for our naps.  After we all rested up we had the chance to hear Sally Mayer who gave us a beautiful and meaningful shuir on Megillat Ruth followed by open Beis with Rav Eitan and Rav Lerner concluding our Shavous.

Girls who kept two days of Chag went to daven at the YU campus Thursday morning. Bracha met them afterwards for a picnic Kiddush and shiur and later in the day they had more shiurim from Rav Eitan, Rav Lerner and Rav Ron!

We are all looking forward to the Masa event next week so stay tuned!

Shabbat Shalom!
