Getting back to Basics

We got back to basics this week with a lots of learning!

Sunday began with a 'Yom Iyun' - day of study dedicated to the history of the Religous Zionist movement. We had guest speakers, video presentations, thought provoking shiurim and discussions on the people, historical events, and ideas which shaped the movement of Religous Zionism. The highlight of the day was definitely the panel discussion of Midreshet teachers, where each one shared their thoughts and ideas on how to maintain their love and bond for Israel in the coming years.

Tuesday was our  final meeting between the Midreshet Moriah students and the Midreshet Darkeinu program, a program for young women with special needs in Midreshet Lindenbaum in memory of Max Freilich z"l , brother of former Midreshet Student  Kayla Freilich (08-09). The Midreshet students who participated in the program this year really learned a lot about sensitivity and openess to others. It was truly heartwarming to see how sad the students from both programs were to say good bye to each other. This program is in its third year and gets better and better every year.
